Summer Energy Camp
Students will explore various sources of renewable energy and participate in a solar oven bake-off

Fun with the Sun - Building and Cooking with Solar Ovens.

40 Students will be learning about some of the fundamentals of solar energy.
a.  A shiny surface reflects light and how the sun's energy makes life possible on Earth. 

b. Reflected light can be concentrated on a particular object. 

c. When sunlight shines on food, enough energy is changed from heat to cook food. 

Each student will take part in a hands-on activity of building their own solar ovens and participate in a solar bake-off.
